from which you can ask questions about lanterns and lamps
and search a database for US lighting patents.

The International Coleman Collectors Club has a website
with members information and pages, technical information, convention news, etc.
If you collect Coleman, this organization is a must!

An excellent place for learning more
about how pressure lanterns and lamps work
is the eGroups: coleman website.
You will have to sign up as a member of the group to access the site.
Read the old messages where there is a store of information
Ask a question and get it answered.


English Custom Polishing has a website
that includes a lot of excellent advice and products for metal restoration
-  a necessary part of owning a lantern/lamp collection.
You can also send them items for restoration/polishing.




Fred Kuntz (or phone 440-352-9630) produces reproduction mica globes
(top row, l-r: #'s 351, 327, LQ327 and 440)
and glass globes
(bottom row, l-r: #'s 242 and 330 - first style).
Fred also has reproductions of a variety of Coleman decals.
Craig Seabrook has reproduction glass globes
(middle row, l-r: #'s 317, 321, and 316)
and hardwood wall shelves for lanterns.


Anders and Per-Henrik Willman have a nice website
of their lantern and lamp collection
and links to a number of other lantern-related sites.

Jeff Glass has a blow torch website
that covers use, functional operation, repair, troubleshooting
and failure mode analysis of gasoline blow torches.
This site also includes a number of very nice images of a variety of models.


Shinzo Kono maintains a growing website
that includes images of gas pressure lamps and lanterns
that he has collected/restored,
as well as images from collectors all over the world,
and an excellent guide to restoration.


John Moncrieff Limited has a website
that includes reproductions of Tilley top hat shades,
Tilley and Vapalux globes and parts, and Solar lanterns for sale.

Old Town Coleman Center
The Old Town Coleman Center has a website
that includes images of many Coleman products
and lots of help with parts, lanterns for sale, etc.


Hans Thornblad has a website, Blow Lamps Unlimited,
that features blow lamps (blow torches), soldering irons,
furnaces, and similar heating apparatus.

Herman Mulder has a homepage
that includes his collection of lamps and stoves.
The page is linked to the English version but also has a Dutch version.


Bairstow Brothers, Halifax, UK, sell two excellent lantern models,
the Vapalux M1B and the M320.


The Classic Camp Stoves website
has a treasure house of information -
catalogues, instruction sheets,
Primus product date codes, patents,
and stove company histories.


Alan Moore's Pressure Lamps Unlimited website
has a storehouse of useful and interesting information
including images of lamps and lanterns from collectors all over the world,
histories of pressure lighting and manufacturers,
and sources of spare parts and repairs.


Albert White has a comprehensive website
on the Handi Brand of stoves, lanterns, and irons
that were manufactured in Australia.

Rob & Rose Roberts have a website
of their collection of lanterns
with links to other sites.


Lancaster Lanterns is an Amish company that is not on the internet.

Erik Leger has a website in German that focuses on Continental Licht products
but also has other European gas pressure appliances
and a link to the Stuga-Cabana Petromax Forum hosted by Juergen Breidenstein
for questions and answers on all kinds of pressure lamps in Europe.
You can also find current gas lighting and stove products for sale on the Stuga-Cabana website.


Wim van der Velden has a website
in Dutch, English, and German of European lamps and lanterns in his collection
and pages on the history and development of gas lighting, particularly the Petromax brand.


Ernie Hiatt sells parts for Coleman and for U.S. military stoves and lanterns.
He also does repair work on Coleman models.
Ernie is not on the internet but can be reached at 574.223.3232 (phone) or 574.223.2842 (Fax).
Ernie also has an extensive Coleman Museum located north of Rochester, Indiana.

Erwin Schaefer in Germany has a website
that includes his lantern collecting hobby.
His collection includes both European and North American
lantern and lamp models.

Another interesting German website is Torsten Scherning's.
His site includes gas pressure lighting and heating appliances.

Bob Hitchcock has a website listing many Coleman parts for sale
including many older items.


Randall Adams is making reproduction decals and labels
for gas pressure appliances. See his website for more details.


The Be-Back-Later website includes a Forum
that attracts collectors from around the world
and include discussions of pressure lighting.

Yoshihiro Sugimoto's website is aimed at Japanese collectors
But has excellent images and details on Coleman pressure appliances.

Henk Kloosterman has a website
of wick lanterns (stormlamps), especially those from Europe.
The website is in Dutch but is easily navigated.
